About "Zlatan"

Biography

Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, professionally known as Zlatan Ibile or simply Zlatan, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and founder of Zanku Records. Born on December 19, 1994, in Ikorodu, Lagos State, with roots in Ijurin, Ekiti State, Zlatan holds a national diploma in business administration from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. He began his music career after winning the Airtel-sponsored One Mic Campus Tour talent show in 2014 at the age of 19. Zlatan rose to prominence in 2017 with the release of “My Body,” featuring Olamide, which led to a record deal with Alleluyah Boiz Entertainment. He gained nationwide recognition in 2018 with the hit song “Able God” alongside Chinko Ekun and Lil Kesh, followed by the release of “Zanku,” a track that introduced a viral dance move and laid the foundation for his debut album Zanku in 2019—an acronym for Zlatan Abeg No Kill Us. That same year, he collaborated with Davido on “Osanle” and with Burna Boy on the chart-topping “Killin Dem.” Zlatan also featured on hits like “Flenjo” with Ceeza Milli and “Am I a Yahoo Boy” with Naira Marley, and in July 2019, he secured an endorsement deal with Coca-Cola. Named after footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović, Zlatan continues to influence Nigeria’s music and pop culture landscape with his infectious energy and street-rooted sound.
