Lil Tecca’s musical journey began at just nine years old, when he started rapping over an Xbox mic while gaming with friends. Their playful diss tracks evolved into real recordings, with Tecca uploading a few early songs to SoundCloud—though these have since been deleted. His first notable track, “Tectri” (2017), a collaboration with Gummybear, marked the beginning of his music career. He followed it with tracks like “Callin”, gradually building a buzz online.

Tecca’s mainstream breakthrough came in 2019 with “Ransom”, a melodic and infectious single that climbed to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a viral hit. The success of “Ransom” helped launch his debut mixtape, We Love You Tecca, which also reached #4 on the Billboard 200 and featured follow-up tracks like “Love Me” and “Did It Again”.

In 2020, Tecca released his debut studio album, Virgo World, which peaked at #10 on the Billboard 200. He continued his momentum with We Love You Tecca 2 (2021), featuring the platinum-certified single “Never Left”, and Tec (2023), which included another platinum hit, “500lbs.” His fourth studio album, Plan A, was released in 2024, further solidifying his status in the rap scene.
