About "Cyn"

Biography

Cynthia “Cyn” Nabozny, born on May 13, 1993, in Michigan, is an American singer and songwriter known for her emotionally resonant pop music and cinematic soundscapes. Inspired by personal experiences, including her parents’ divorce, Cyn developed a love for music at a young age and began recording her own vocals by 16. After graduating from DePaul University with a degree in Management Information Systems—following a rejection from their music program—she caught the attention of pop superstar Katy Perry in 2015 with her song “Only With You.” This led to a record deal with Perry’s Unsub Records. She debuted with the single “Together” in 2017 and gained further exposure opening for Perry on her Witness: The Tour and touring with Years & Years. Cyn’s music has been featured in major film soundtracks such as Smallfoot, Birds of Prey, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, and the Oscar-winning Promising Young Woman, with her hit “Drinks” peaking at #22 on U.S. Top 40 Radio. Her debut EP Mood Swing was released in 2019, followed by a reimagined version titled Mood Swing (even moodier) in 2020. She continued to expand her presence with contributions to soundtracks for He’s All That and Moonshot and released singles like “House with a View” and “Losing Sleep.” In November 2024, Cyn released her highly anticipated full-length debut album, Valley Girl, through Unsub/Capitol Records, marking a new chapter in her evolving pop career.
