Edwin Luna

Coming from a musical family, Edwin was introduced to music at a young age by his father, Miguel Luna, a member of the renowned duo El Palomo y El Gorrión. This early exposure instilled in him a deep appreciation for norteño music and led him to learn instruments like the accordion. By the age of eight, he was performing at events, and at seventeen, he joined Banda Don Arsenio, marking the beginning of his professional music career. He later became part of Banda Sinaloa and had a brief stint with the group Liberación. In 2010, Luna co-founded Banda La Trakalosa de Monterrey, which quickly rose to prominence in the regional Mexican music landscape .

Under Luna’s leadership, La Trakalosa de Monterrey has released numerous hits that blend traditional banda elements with contemporary themes. Songs like “Después de Ti No Hay Nada,” “Borracho de Amor,” and “Dormida” have resonated with audiences, earning spots on various music charts. The band’s 2020 release, “Mi Hubieras Avisado,” topped Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, showcasing their continued relevance in the genre .

Beyond his musical endeavors, Edwin Luna has ventured into acting and television, further expanding his influence in the entertainment industry. In his personal life, he married Kimberly Flores in 2019, and the couple has a daughter named Gianna, born in July 2018 .
