Jackman Thomas Harlow (born March 13, 1998), alias “Jack harlow”is an American rapper and singer known for his charismatic flow, witty lyricism, and meteoric rise in the hip-hop scene. Raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Harlow began his recording career in 2015 with the EP The Handsome Harlow and built a local following through sold-out high school shows and festival performances. After founding the music collective Private Garden and releasing the mixtape 18 in 2016, he continued his rise with projects like Gazebo (2017), featuring the breakout single “Dark Knight.” In 2018, he signed with Generation Now, a label under Atlantic Records led by Don Cannon and DJ Drama. Harlow’s major breakthrough came with the 2020 viral hit “Whats Poppin,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy nomination. He followed up with his platinum-certified debut album, That’s What They All Say (2020), and scored his first No. 1 with Lil Nas X on “Industry Baby” in 2021. His second album, Come Home the Kids Miss You (2022), featured the chart-topping debut single “First Class.” In 2023, his collaboration with Jungkook on “3D” and solo hit “Lovin’ on Me” further solidified his chart dominance, with the latter becoming his third Billboard No. 1. Harlow has earned accolades like Top New Artist at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, Variety’s “Hitmaker of the Year,” and a spot on Forbes’ 30 Under 30. Expanding into acting, he made his film debut as Jeremy in the 2023 remake of White Men Can’t Jump.
