Xavier Landum, born May 12, 1998, known professionally as BigXthaPlug, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Texas. Rising from legal struggles and a stint in solitary confinement, BigXthaPlug turned adversity into artistry, writing music while incarcerated for illegal possession of weapons and marijuana in 2022. After his release, he made a powerful debut with Amar, his first studio album named after his son, released in February 2023. The album featured the breakout hit “Texas,” which was later certified Gold by the RIAA. Known for his gritty Southern sound and commanding presence, he is signed to UnitedMasters and gained further traction with hits like “Mmhmm,” “Climate,” “Levels,” “The Largest,” and “Whip It.” His 2023 single “Mmhmm” climbed the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 65 after a remix featuring Finesse2tymes was released on his EP The Biggest. That same year, he launched his own label, 600 Entertainment, signing artists Ro$ama and Yung Hood, and embarked on the Don’t Mess With Texas Tour, solidifying his place as one of the most promising voices in modern Southern hip-hop.
