In addition to her music career, Cassie ventured into acting, notably starring as Sophie Donovan in the 2008 dance film Step Up 2: The Streets. She continued to release music, including the mixtape RockaByeBaby in 2013, which featured collaborations with artists like Rick Ross and Wiz Khalifa.

Cassie’s personal life came under public scrutiny due to her relationship with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, which lasted from 2007 to 2018. In November 2023, she filed a lawsuit against Combs, alleging a decade-long pattern of abuse, including rape and sex trafficking. The lawsuit was settled swiftly, but it spurred further investigations, leading to Combs’ arrest in 2024. Cassie has since testified in his federal trial, detailing the alleged abuse she endured.

Currently, Cassie is married to personal trainer Alex Fine, with whom she shares two daughters and is expecting a third child.
