Christopher Maurice Brown (born May 5, 1989), alias “Chris Brown,” is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor, widely regarded as one of the most influential and commercially successful R&B artists of his generation. Known for his dynamic vocals, electrifying dance moves, and genre-blending style that fuses R&B, pop, and hip-hop, Brown has often been compared to Michael Jackson and dubbed the “King of R&B” by his peers. Discovered at age 13, he signed with Jive Records and released his triple-platinum debut album in 2005, becoming the first male artist since 1995 to debut a single (“Run It!”) at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
