Clave Especial is a dynamic Regional Mexican band from Salinas, California, formed in 2021 by cousins Alejandro Ahumada and Leonardo Lomeli. They have rapidly gained prominence in the Latin music scene with their energetic corridos and modern interpretations of traditional Mexican sounds.
Their breakout came with the 2025 album Mija No Te Asustes, which debuted at #2 on both the Apple Music Latin Albums Chart and Spotify USA Chart, and reached #3 globally, amassing over 600 million streams on Spotify. The album features collaborations with notable artists such as Luis R Conriquez, Fuerza Regida, Los Dareyes de la Sierra, Edgardo Nuñez, and Calle 24.
Clave Especial’s discography includes standout tracks like “Rápido Soy,” “No Pasa Nada,” “Kalashnikov,” “Voy Enfierrado,” and “No Son Doritos.” Their music blends traditional Mexican rhythms with contemporary themes, resonating with a wide audience.
