Biography

Emily Watts is a UK-based singer-songwriter renowned for her emotive, piano-driven compositions and ethereal vocals. Drawing inspiration from artists like Kate Bush, Bat for Lashes, and Joni Mitchell, she crafts haunting melodies that delve into themes of love, fear, and loss.

Her debut EP, From the Blue, released in September 2015, features five tracks: “Falling,” “Solace,” “Shipwrecked,” “Fold,” and “Crossing the Bar.” The EP received critical acclaim, with Songwriting Magazine describing it as “a songwriter to be reckoned with” .

In March 2018, Watts released her second EP, All These Years, on her own label, Beautiful Town Records. The EP includes singles like “Where Are You Now,” which received national radio play on BBC Radio 2, and “Wait for You,” featured in Tom Robinson’s Fresh Faves. The collection also comprises three new tracks: “Fires,” “Resting Place,” and “Island.” Produced by Daniel Moyler and mastered at Metropolis Studios by Andy ‘Hippy’ Baldwin, the EP showcases Watts’ growth as an artist .

Beyond her solo work, Watts has ventured into songwriting for other artists, co-writing “Signs” for Alex Maxwell, released on Hollywood Records/Polydor .
