Enrique Bunbury, born Enrique Ortiz de Landázuri Izarduy on August 11, 1967, in Zaragoza, Spain, is a renowned Spanish singer and songwriter. He gained prominence as the lead vocalist of the rock band Héroes del Silencio, which achieved significant success in the 1980s and 1990s. Following the band’s disbandment in 1996, Bunbury embarked on a solo career, known for his distinctive voice and eclectic musical style that blends rock, Latin, and alternative genres.
In 2025, Bunbury released his thirteenth studio album, Cuentas Pendientes, recorded in Mexico with Latin American musicians. The album marks a departure from his rock roots, embracing Latin music genres such as bolero, rumba, and vals criollo. The lead single, “Para llegar hasta aquí,” reflects on his journey and the lessons learned along the way. The album has been described as a bridge between his earlier works and his exploration of Latin musical traditions.
To promote the album, Bunbury announced the “Huracán Ambulante Tour 2025,” a series of 14 concerts across nine countries, including Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, the United States, and Spain. The tour features performances with his former band, El Huracán Ambulante, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their formation. The final concert is scheduled for September 20, 2025, in Zaragoza, his hometown.
