About "Fridayy"

Biography

Francis Leblanc, professionally known as Fridayy, is a Haitian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He discovered his musical talent early on, singing in church and playing instruments by the age of 9, and began producing music at 14 after being introduced to it by his cousin. Inspired by artists like The Weeknd, PartyNextDoor, Boyz II Men, Drake, and Kanye West, Fridayy developed a signature sound that blends gospel-influenced vocals with contemporary hip-hop and R&B. In 2022, he signed with Def Jam Recordings and rose to prominence with high-profile features on DJ Khaled’s Grammy-nominated track “God Did” and Lil Baby’s hit “Forever,” both of which reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. That same year, he released his debut single “Don’t Give Up On Me” and his first EP Lost in Melody. His 2023 single “When It Comes to You” became his first solo Billboard Hot 100 entry and was certified platinum by the RIAA. His self-titled debut studio album, Fridayy, arrived in August 2023, led by the Chris Brown-assisted single “Don’t Give It Away.” In 2024, he joined Buju Banton as the opening act for The Overcomer Tour. February 2025 saw the release of his second studio album, Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not, featuring the Meek Mill collaboration “Proud of Me,” which also charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and helped the album peak at number 51 in the US.
