About "Future"

Biography

Nayvadius DeMun Cash (né Wilburn; born November 20, 1983), known professionally as Future, is a Grammy Award-winning American rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer from Atlanta, Georgia, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern hip-hop and trap music. Known for his pioneering use of Auto-Tune and mumble-styled vocals, Future rose to prominence with a series of mixtapes in 2011 before signing with Epic Records and releasing his debut studio album Pluto in 2012. He followed up with a string of critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums including Honest, DS2, Evol, and his back-to-back chart-toppers Future and Hndrxx in 2017, making Billboard history. His collaborations with artists like Drake, The Weeknd, Kanye West, and Young Thug produced major hits such as “Jumpman,” “Low Life,” “Life Is Good,” and “Way 2 Sexy.” In 2022, he earned his first Grammy win as a lead artist for “Wait for U” featuring Drake and Tems. In 2024, he continued his dominance with three Billboard 200 number-one releases: two collaborative albums with Metro Boomin (We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You) and his solo Mixtape Pluto, making him the first hip-hop artist to achieve three number-one albums in a single year. With a total of three Grammy Awards, numerous chart-topping singles, and a game-changing influence on trap music and vocal delivery, Future has firmly established himself as a defining voice of his generation.
