Jack Harlow, born Jackman Thomas Harlow on March 13, 1998, in Louisville, Kentucky, is an American rapper and songwriter known for his charismatic delivery and introspective lyrics. He began rapping at age 12, recording rhymes with a Guitar Hero microphone and a laptop. During high school, he formed the collective Private Garden, which helped him gain local recognition.

Harlow’s rise to fame accelerated in 2020 with the release of “Whats Poppin,” a track that gained viral popularity on TikTok and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. The song’s success led to a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance.

His debut studio album, Thats What They All Say (2020), featured collaborations with artists like Lil Baby and Big Sean. In 2021, Harlow achieved his first number-one hit with “Industry Baby,” a collaboration with Lil Nas X. His second album, Come Home the Kids Miss You (2022), included the chart-topping single “First Class.”
