About "Joé Dwèt Filé"

Biography

Joé Dwèt Filé, born March 12, 1995, is a French-Haitian singer, songwriter, and performer known for his smooth blend of Afro-Caribbean styles such as zouk and konpa with contemporary French R&B. Born in Montreuil, Île-de-France, Joé was immersed in music from an early age, singing in church and developing his voice within a spiritual and soulful environment.

Transitioning from gospel roots, Joé began contributing to the Afro-Caribbean music scene, collaborating on hits like “Que toi” by Stoney, “Un mot” by Axel Tony, and “Mama hé” by Vegedream. These collaborations helped introduce him to a wider audience and positioned him as a rising talent in the genre.

He later formed his own band, Lespada, and gained popularity through YouTube. Their success motivated him to release a collaborative mixtape, followed by his solo project #ESOLF (Et Si On Le Faisait) in June 2018. On March 29, 2019, he released his 15-track debut studio album, À deux, which solidified his place in the French music scene.

Joé embarked on an international tour that took him across France, Belgium, Switzerland, the USA, and Canada, including a notable performance at La Cigale in Paris and Olympia in Montreal. He followed up with popular singles like “À deux”, “Egoïste” (featuring Singuila), and “Tu me mens”, all released in 2019–2020 with accompanying music videos that showcased his emotional delivery and Afrobeat-influenced sound.

In April 2020, Joé released the EP Eira, and in the same year, he experienced a major breakthrough with the hit “Jolie madame”, a collaboration with Ronisia, which became his highest-charting single on the SNEP French Singles Chart.

Continuing his momentum, Joé released the album 4 Kampé on October 24, 2024, which was met with strong acclaim, especially within the Afro-Caribbean community, further confirming his role as a leading voice in the genre. With his soulful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and Caribbean flair, Joé Dwèt Filé continues to captivate audiences both in France and internationally.
