Kranium launched his music career in New York City, performing across the tri-state area and opening for well-known Jamaican artists such as Gyptian, Serani, I-Octane, and Tarrus Riley. His big break came with “Nobody Has to Know,” produced by LMR Productions, which quickly became a staple on ethnic radio stations, including the influential Hot 97. By 2015, the single had sold over 39,000 copies and peaked at number 32 on the Reggae Digital Song Sales chart.
His early success led to collaborations with top Jamaican producers like Tony Kelly, TJ Records, and Cash Flow, helping to shape his melodic yet gritty dancehall sound. Under Atlantic Records, Kranium released his debut album Rumors in 2015, followed by Midnight Sparks in 2019. These projects showcased his knack for blending traditional dancehall vibes with international appeal.
In 2021, he released the EP Toxic, followed by In Too Deep in 2022, both further exploring themes of love, heartbreak, and intimacy through his signature smooth vocal style. On May 25, 2020, Kranium was spotlighted as a Spotify RADAR artist, joining fellow Jamaican talents Fahda Romie and Shenseea in gaining global exposure through the platform.
On March 2, 2023, Kranium announced his departure from Atlantic Records, marking a new chapter in his career. With his proven track record and unique blend of dancehall with R&B sensibilities, Kranium continues to be a dynamic voice in contemporary Caribbean music.
