Leon Thomas

Leon Thomas III (born August 1, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor, widely recognized for his versatility across stage, screen, and studio. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Thomas began his career on Broadway at age 10, playing Young Simba in The Lion King (2003), later appearing in Caroline, or Change and The Color Purple. He voiced Tyrone on the Nick Jr. series The Backyardigans (2006–2008) and rose to fame portraying Andre Harris on Nickelodeon’s Victorious (2010–2013). Transitioning into music, Thomas released several mixtapes and an EP under Rostrum Records before signing with EZMNY and Motown, releasing his debut studio album, Electric Dusk, in 2023, followed by Mutt in 2024, which gave him his first solo Billboard chart entries. As a member of the Grammy-winning production duo The Rascals, he has written and produced for top artists including Ariana Grande, Drake, Babyface, SZA, and Toni Braxton. Thomas also co-produced for Post Malone’s Stoney (2016) and starred in the 2017 film Detroit, cementing his reputation as a multifaceted talent in the entertainment industry.
