Dominique Armani Jones, known professionally as Lil Baby, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter born on December 3, 1994, in Atlanta, Georgia. Rising from the streets, he was encouraged to pursue rap by Quality Control founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee and mentored by Young Thug and Gunna. He gained national attention in 2017 with a rapid-fire series of mixtapes, including Perfect Timing and Too Hard, which featured his breakout single “Freestyle.” His debut album Harder Than Ever (2018) reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and included the Drake-assisted hit “Yes Indeed.” He followed with the collaborative Drip Harder (with Gunna) and solo tape Street Gossip, both of which solidified his presence. In 2020, his album My Turn dominated the charts, earned quadruple platinum status, and produced major hits like “We Paid” and the Grammy-nominated protest anthem “The Bigger Picture.” His 2021 joint album The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Durk topped the charts, and his feature on Kanye West’s “Hurricane” won a Grammy. He continued his winning streak with It’s Only Me (2022), which included top-ten hits like “California Breeze.” In 2025, he released his fourth studio album, WHAM (Who Hard As Me), followed by Dominique. Beyond music, Lil Baby founded Glass Window Entertainment (formerly 4PF) in 2023 under Motown and Capitol Records, signing artists like 42 Dugg and Rylo Rodriguez. With multiple awards, platinum plaques, and chart-topping albums, Lil Baby has cemented himself as a voice of his generation and a dominant force in modern hip-hop.
