Biography

Mark Holcomb, born on October 21, 1982, in the Philippines, is an acclaimed guitarist best known for his work with the American progressive metal band Periphery. He officially joined the band in October 2011, initially stepping in as a live replacement for Alex Bois before becoming a full-time member. Holcomb is also part of the side project Haunted Shores alongside fellow Periphery guitarist Misha Mansoor. His technical proficiency and melodic style have earned him endorsements from Ernie Ball Music Man Guitars and the development of his own signature Paul Reed Smith guitar, as well as signature Seymour Duncan Alpha and Omega pickups. He has two brothers, Jeff, who has served as a stand-in bassist for Periphery, and Nathaniel. Holcomb’s contributions have been pivotal in shaping Periphery’s intricate and dynamic sound.
