Moliy Ama Montgomery, born on October 4, 2001, is a Ghanaian-American singer and songwriter who rose to international fame after her feature on Amaarae’s 2020 hit “Sad Girlz Luv Money” remix with Kali Uchis, which debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 80 and peaked at number 29 on the UK Singles Chart. Raised between Accra, Ghana, and Florida, Moliy blends Afro-fusion with pop influences to craft a unique sound that resonates globally. Her debut EP, Wondergirl, released in 2020, received airplay across The Gambia, Nigeria, and Kenya, solidifying her presence in the African music scene. In 2024, she collaborated with Jamaican-born producer Silent Addy on the viral track “Shake It to the Max (Fly),” which became a TikTok sensation and topped the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart while reaching number 25 on the UK Singles Chart in May 2025, marking her second charting hit.
