Sharon began her music career in 2019 with the release of her debut single, “The Moon,” which she performed during a TEDxAmsterdamWomen talk on self-love the same year. Her follow-up single, “Breeze,” drew widespread attention and eventually caught the ear of Drake. In early 2023, she made history by becoming the first woman to sign with OVO Sound.
Ahead of her debut album, Sharon released two singles, “Definition of Love” and “Hills,” which showcased her lyrical introspection and atmospheric production. Her full-length debut album, Obsidian, dropped on October 20, 2023. The 12-track project received praise for its emotional resonance and sonic diversity, with Steven Ward of Grimy Goods describing it as possessing “an immense emotional gravitas, created to tap into or articulate the mercurial realms that exist inside of you.”
Following the release, Sharon embarked on her first headlining tour—the Obsidian Tour—performing across three cities in North America and four in Europe. Continuing her artistic momentum, she released the single “Nothing Sweeter” on January 18, 2024.
Naomi Sharon’s unique blend of haunting vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and spiritual depth has earned her critical attention and a growing global fanbase, positioning her as one of the most compelling new artists in modern soul and R&B.
