NEEDTOBREATHE is an American rock band from Seneca, South Carolina, known for blending Southern rock, Christian themes, and mainstream appeal. Formed in the early 2000s, the band currently consists of Bear Rinehart, Josh Lovelace, Randall Harris, and Tyler Burkum. They have released ten studio albums, including The Outsiders (2009), Rivers in the Wasteland (2014), HARD LOVE (2016), and Caves (2023), with six reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. Their hit singles, such as “Washed by the Water,” “Brother,” “Multiplied,” and “Who Am I,” have earned them chart success and a Grammy nomination. Known for their passionate performances and reflective lyrics, the band has toured with artists like Taylor Swift and collaborated with Carrie Underwood and Jon Foreman. After the departure of founding member Bo Rinehart in 2020, the band continued to evolve musically with albums like Out of Body and Into the Mystery. In addition to their music, they have been involved in philanthropy, opening the NEEDTOBREATHE OneWorld Health Center in Nicaragua.
