About "Noah Kahan"

Biography

Noah Kahan (/ˈkɑːn/ KAHN; born January 1, 1997) is an American singer-songwriter known for his emotionally raw lyricism and folk-pop sound. He signed with Republic Records in 2017 and gained recognition with his breakout single “Hurt Somebody,” featuring Julia Michaels, which went gold in the U.S. and charted internationally. His debut album, Busyhead (2019), marked his entry into the mainstream, followed by I Was / I Am (2021) and his commercial breakthrough, Stick Season (2022), a folk-driven album inspired by his Vermont roots. The viral success of the title track and its deluxe editions led to collaborations with artists like Post Malone, Hozier, Kacey Musgraves, Lizzy McAlpine, and Sam Fender. In 2023, Kahan was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys and named to TIME magazine’s TIME100 Next list. His song “Stick Season” reached No. 1 on the UK and Australian charts and peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2024. That same year, he released Stick Season (Forever), featuring new songs and high-profile collaborations, and announced his live album Live from Fenway Park, solidifying his place as one of the most compelling singer-songwriters of his generation.
