Armando Christian Pérez, known professionally as Pitbull (also Mr. 305 and Mr. Worldwide), is an American rapper, singer, and actor born on January 15, 1981, in Miami, Florida. He began his music career in the early 2000s with reggaeton, Latin hip hop, and crunk, signing with TVT Records and releasing his debut album, M.I.A.M.I., in 2004, executive produced by Lil Jon. Pitbull gained mainstream success with his 2009 album Rebelution, which featured the global hit “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho).” He rebranded as a pop artist in the 2010s, releasing multi-platinum albums like Planet Pit and Global Warming and scoring chart-topping singles such as “Give Me Everything,” “Feel This Moment,” and “Timber.” Known for his infectious energy and party anthems, he also co-performed the official 2014 FIFA World Cup song, “We Are One (Ole Ola).” With over 25 million albums and 100 million singles sold, 15 billion YouTube views, and 35 Billboard Latin Music Awards, Pitbull has established himself as a global icon.
