Olurotimi Akinosho, known professionally as Rotimi, is a Nigerian-American actor, singer, and model, born on November 30, 1988. He gained recognition for his roles as Darius Morrison on Boss, Andre Coleman on Power, and Charles on The Chi, where he was confirmed to join full-time in Season 7 as of June 29, 2024. As a contemporary R&B artist, Rotimi released mixtapes The Resume and While You Wait in 2011, followed by his debut EP Jeep Music Vol. 1 in 2017 and singles like “Doin It” and the widely acclaimed “Love Riddim” in 2019. In 2015, he signed to 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records and released his first single under the label, “Lotto,” featuring 50 Cent. Rotimi has opened for major artists such as Jennifer Hudson, T.I., and Estelle, and made music appearances on platforms like BET’s 106 & Park and in Keyshia Cole’s video “Trust and Believe.” His track “I’m the One” was also featured in the premiere episode of Boss.
