TNX (Korean: 티엔엑스; RR: Tienekseu), short for The New Six, is a South Korean boy band formed through the SBS reality competition program LOUD and managed by P Nation. Originally debuting as a six-member group, TNX now consists of five members: Taehun, Hyunsoo, Junhyeok, Hwi, and Sungjun, following the departure of member Kyungjun in October 2024. The group officially debuted on May 17, 2022, with the release of their first extended play (EP), Way Up.
TNX was born out of LOUD, a survival show that premiered on June 5, 2021, and was jointly created by K-pop powerhouses Psy (P Nation) and Park Jin-young (JYP Entertainment). The program featured 75 contestants from various countries showcasing their talents in singing, dancing, rapping, songwriting, and producing to secure a spot in two upcoming global boy groups—one for each agency. The finale aired on September 11, 2021, and the final lineup for P Nation included Kyungjun, Taehun, Hyunsoo, Junhyeok, Hwi, Sungjun, and Tanaka Koki. However, on January 24, 2022, P Nation announced that Koki, who was just 13 at the time, would not debut with the group and would continue training within the agency.
On March 29, 2022, the group name TNX was officially revealed, and shortly after, their debut EP, Way Up, was announced for release on May 17. Since their debut, TNX has gained attention for their high-energy performances, diverse musical skills, and the unique artistry fostered under Psy’s creative direction at P Nation.
