Trevor Morris, born on May 25, 1970, in London, Ontario, Canada, is a distinguished Canadian composer renowned for his work in film, television, and video games. His musical journey commenced early; at 13, he was commissioned by his school to compose a piece performed during Pope John Paul II’s visit to Canada—a pivotal moment that ignited his passion for composition. He further honed his craft at Fanshawe College’s “Music Industry Arts” program, graduating at the top of his class. Post-graduation, Morris immersed himself in Toronto’s music production scene before transitioning to composing music for television commercials. In 1999, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in scoring for film and television.

Morris’s collaborations with industry titans like James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer facilitated his involvement in over 25 major screen credits, including contributions to films such as The Last Samurai, King Arthur, and Spanglish. His individual acclaim includes two Primetime Emmy Awards: one in 2007 for The Tudors and another in 2011 for The Borgias. His television portfolio also encompasses scores for Vikings, Vikings: Valhalla, The Pillars of the Earth, Reign, Castlevania, and Emerald City.
