Avalon’s musical journey began early. She uploaded her first original song, “You’re Not Mine,” to YouTube in 2012 at just 13 years old. That same year, she performed on the kids’ stage at Athfest and opened for the Drive-By Truckers at Athens’ legendary 40 Watt Club. Though she signed her first label deal at 18, the contract was later cancelled, pushing her to pursue a more independent path.
In 2021, Avalon self-released her single “Drivin,” which began to build her following. By 2023, her unique voice and gritty songwriting caught the attention of Atlantic Records and Assemble Sound, leading to her official signing.
Avalon’s debut EP, Stranger, dropped on February 29, 2024, recorded at the iconic Electric Lady Studios in New York City’s Greenwich Village. The project showcased her blend of classic country roots with a modern, rebellious twist.
Her full-length debut album, Southern Belle Raisin’ Hell, was released on January 17, 2025. The album’s cover featured Avalon’s real mugshot from a previous arrest, reinforcing her unfiltered, defiant persona. She marked the release with a fiery performance of the single “Homewrecker” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Later that year, Avalon embarked on her first headlining tour across North America, which was later extended to include stops in the UK and Ireland. The tour kicked off in Philadelphia on January 30, 2025, and included a notable performance at Exit/In in Nashville on February 7, 2025.
Recognized for her rising stardom and authentic Southern storytelling, The Tennessean named Willow Avalon one of their Top Artists to Watch in 2025. With a rebellious streak and a voice that blends heartbreak with grit, Avalon is redefining modern country music with fearless honesty and Southern soul.
