XG (short for “Xtraordinary Girls”) is a seven-member girl group that blends hip-hop, R&B, and pop influences to create a genre-defying sound known as “X-POP.” Formed by Xgalx, a subsidiary of Japan’s Avex Trax, the group debuted on March 18, 2022, with the English-language single “Tippy Toes.” Despite being Japanese, XG is based in South Korea and operates within the K-pop industry, performing on Korean music shows and collaborating with Korean producers. Their music is primarily in English, aiming to reach a global audience .
