mgk - Lost Amrican

Lost Americana is the seventh studio album by MGK (formerly Machine Gun Kelly), released on August 8, 2025. Blending alternative rock, pop-punk, rap, and country-tinged Americana, the record explores themes of reinvention, nostalgia, and personal struggle. It was introduced with a heartfelt trailer narrated by Bob Dylan, highlighting its focus on the American spirit. Across 13 tracks, MGK delivers an emotional mix of vulnerability and swagger, from the introspective “Treading Water,” which addresses his breakup and time in rehab, to bolder cuts like “Cliché” and “Starman” that nod to pop culture and classic hits. The album has been described as messy yet ambitious, standing out for its raw honesty and willingness to experiment with different sounds.
