Doobie

Doobie, born Eric Williams, is an American rapper, singer, and producer from Columbus, Ohio. Known for his fusion of hip-hop and rock influences, he gained prominence with his self-produced 2017 hit "When The Drugs Don’t Work," a raw and honest track about his struggles with drug use.

Doobie's music is characterized by its introspective lyrics and grunge-inspired sound, drawing inspiration from artists like Kurt Cobain. He began rapping at the age of eight and taught himself music production in his teens due to financial constraints. His early work includes the 2015 mixtape Cocaine Christmvs, featuring the cult classic "Hopeless."

After relocating to Los Angeles, Doobie continued to build his career, releasing his debut album Faithfully Faded in 2019, which includes collaborations with artists like Yelawolf and Krash Minati. Despite his growing success, he maintains a personal approach to his music, often avoiding collaborations to keep his work reflective of his own life experiences.
